Con Schmaucks

Con Schmaucks grew up in Dublin and studied under Des Lacy, one of Ireland’s finest teachers and drummers. He also studied at Pulse College, graduating with a diploma in sound engineering.

In 2013, Con graduated with an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Jazz Performance from the Berklee associated Newpark Music Centre. Along with teaching at the Sligo School of Contemporary Music, Con holds the junior orchestra percussion chair at the Sligo Academy of Music and is an integral member of the Sligo Academy’s Jazz Orchestra. Con is a long-term member of the popular Curly Bobs wedding band and a founding member of The Kobe Trio.
